Administration and Business Support Officer

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Administration and Business Support Officer. The position calls for a smart, mature, highly motivated, proactive, and hardworking individual, who is meticulous and organized in his/her work and possesses good communication skills.
This position is open to candidates who are available on a part time/reduced hours basis.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing clerical and administrative assistance to management and to the technical team.
  • To communicate and develop a good rapport with clients and suppliers.
  • To maintain and update the company’s sales ledger including issuing and posting of sales invoices, receipts, issuing statements and communicating with clients as necessary to collect dues.
  • Assisting the technical team with orders of inventory, processing of invoices received from suppliers and payment thereof.
  • Assisting the company’s accountant in the maintenance of the company’s accounting records.
  • To organise and complete all clerical and administrative duties, answering telephone calls, filling in questionnaires and forms, and submitting accordingly.
  • To perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Knowledge,Skills and Experience Required

  • An ‘Advanced’ Level standard of education in accounting is necessary. A degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification such as ACCA, would be considered an asset.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of computer software like word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Must be well versed in computerised accounting systems to exploit the reporting capabilities of the company’s accounting software to its maximum. Experience in the use of Sage 50 will be considered an asset.
  • Being able to speak fluently in Maltese, English and Italian would be considered an asset.
